I don't think so
American Goldfinches are usually classified by their bright yellow torso, black forehead, and black wings, characteristics that this particular bird seems to lack. It is possible that it is a female but its doubtful. Unfortunatly I can't tell you what species this bird is, but i'll look into it and contact you if I find any further information.

I think you are right.That is defently not an American goldfinch.it might be a Yellow Warbler.
