The Time I Saw A Great Blue Heron

I was walking outside one day when I heard a strange noise.I looked up and saw a Great Blue Heron flying about 3 feet above me.Later,I regreted I had not had my camera at the time.

Great Blue Herons
This summer I monitored a rookery of Great Blue Herons for the Department of Natural Resources. They are really beautiful birds & very noisy. You could hear the birds a fourth mile away from the road. I counted 5 fledged babies in one nest. I wish I would of had my camera too. I went back a week later with my camera but the babies had left the nest.
Yes they are amazing...
Yes, they are an amazing species.The first time I saw one,I went running inside to tell my family.It was so cool to add a new bird to my life list.
